This game was utterly fantastic. It was a good length, had very good writing and tension, and left me wanting more (in a good way). Fantastic job. I loved every second of it!

Thanks very much!

I have to say, this gets a lot more interesting having played Upstream. You're really going to turn salmon into a horror genre, at this rate.

...funnily enough, I hadn't even thought about how similar they are until I saw this comment, but... they kinda are, huh? I guess "unknown force subconsciously compelling you to go to a place and die there" is bouncing around in my head a lot. hmm.

This was awesome! I loved the style and the story. You did an amazing job :) Thank you. I am uploading the video to my channel on youTube

Thanks!

Wow just wow, I was not expecting any of that. Amazing game, I need more of this.

Thank you!

Great game! So does this have multiple endings or are the decisions just flavor?

(+2)

Some of the dialogue differs based on what you choose but it's not a major change. The ending is more or less the same.

I went in not expecting much from a small sized download. Then I found myself going on rants and getting into the game. It was a pretty fun experience good job!!!

Thanks!

How did you make that arrow dialog box conversation?

In godot it's a control node I made for this that generates NinePatchRects with text labels and the arrow sprites as children. I wrote a dialogue manager class that handles all the dialogue and spawns the UI nodes to show the dialogue

Thank you for this reply. Its really helpful

This game is another example of why pixel horror is so underrated. Great job building up the atmosphere and writing their dialogue, and thanks for sharing this with us!

This game was so cool. I really loved how you built the atmosphere of the story and the backstory of the place was really well done.
The ending tho, that plot twist. Damn! This went from phasmophobia to Junji Ito in a second!
I am really glad to make this video so other people who speak spanish can also enjoy your game. Everyone should see this master piece. Keep up the good work!

this game was actually terrifying not in the psychological horror way but the tense, terrifyingly uncomfortable way. it activated my fight or flight response thats how scary it is. and the ending? gave me chills!! my jaw??? dropped when it ended. i was literally on elena's side for the entirety of the game but then it happened and then i didnt know anymore. super good!!

My favourite game in a while, honestly knocked it out of the park, gave me the creeps for them the whole time and the story was so mysterious but answered enough of my questions to leave me satisfied. A full 10/10 game best of luck keep up the great work.  here's my playthrough at 1:14:40

THAT WAS AMAZING. GENIUNELY JUST AWESOME. it really leaves a mystery behind too. like, was it the hole? some being in the hole? so interesting

LOVED THIS GAME ! amazing story and smooth gameplay

For what are the outer hells to such silent and slippery flyers as own not Nyarlathotep for their master, but bow only to potent and archaic Nodens, Lord of the Great Abyss?

This really was outstanding.

GR8

THIS WAS SOO SCARY. Good job! I also love the fluid walk cycle and movement controls nice job on that

i wish they could find a way to get the camera and tell everyone then they seal the hole

Hi there! I LOVED this game. The story was so well written and thought out. I was theorizing with Priya and Elena about what happened at Masthill the entire time. It felt like a new (and original) storyline, but still had an amazing mix of murder mystery, cult dealings, and ghost hunting (basically all the spooky things you could want). The pacing was great, and the ending was so worth it!

I wish I had known that there were more dialogue options sooner. I didn't notice the color change in Elena's dialogue box until the game was half done. That was probably just my mistake, but I still thought I'd mention it in case other people ran into the same thing.

Thank you so much for sharing your game with the world - and I hope this review convinces more people to play it!

Thank you so much!

So I played this like two weeks ago and Ive been thinking about it since. Will you make any more games like this? or games with similiar graphics and atmosphere? I feel like the fact that they are all faceless to makes it creepier. Love the style.

Thanks! I'm making more horror games, for sure! Every game I make kind of ends up with its own art style based on how it looks in my head when I'm coming up with the concept, and so far they've all been very different from each other. I might do something else that looks like this, if I have an idea that matches it. But the next few ideas I want to work on are also all in their own unique styles

Hey! just finished this game and it was awesome!

Well okay if I'm being honest, I just finished all your games and they were great! Loved the atmosphere :)

I was wondering if you'd be interested in us collaborating, for you to have a french translation and french subtitles for your games?

I'm a student in Paris, so I'm purely looking to earn some experience since I aim to work in the audio-visual translation field. I'd genuinely love to work with indie game devs. :)

Feel free to reach out to me on Twitter @CarolaneCPayet

Wish the best day!

Thanks! I am mainly interested in doing solo work, but thanks and good luck

No problem! Thanks and good luck to you too :)

I just want to say, this was so well written. I honestly hope you continue to make more stories, the detail and immersion of conversations matters so much. Probably one of my favorite games of 2022. Keep up the great work!
